Parsons High School senior Wes Krull attempts a jump at the Labette County High School Invitational in late March. Krull came up with a high jump of 6-09 Tuesday in Columbus to break the Parsons High School school record, which was previously 6-08. The jump is also the tops in state in all classes in 2012 according to catchitkansas.com. The jump is one inche higher than the previous bests by Adam Deterding of Hays and Cody Heiman of Baileyville. It's also three inches better than the previous best in Class 4A, set by Nick Deterding of Smoky Valley and Garrison LeRod of Andal. Krull previously had the seventh-best mark in Class 4A with 6-02.
