Jane Kite receives a “gold” watch on Friday morning from Country Mart vice president Craig Dickey as a joke during Kite’s retirement reception at the Parsons grocery store. Kite began working for Country Mart in July 1990 when the store bought Greaves Nu-Way, for which she had worked since 1973. Kite said she plans to travel and “get caught up on things” during retirement. She said she was fortunate to be able to work for a very good, family-oriented company. She retired as the head clerk but also worked as a meat wrapper with Greaves.
