Dunlap took a shot to the leg on the play but was able to beat out the runner on the way to a victory in the back end of Tuesday's doubleheader with Allen County Community College. The Cardinals swept the Red Devils to improve to 18-2 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Eastern Division.

The Labette Community College wrestling team and coaches were honored with a trip to Topeka last week. The team met with Kansas Governor Sam Brownback and were recognized during house and senate sessions. The 2011-2012 Cardinals wrestling team brought the NJCAA wrestling championship back to Parsons late February. It was the team's second national title. LCC head coach Joe Renfro was also named the NJCAA Coach of the Year this season. PIctured on the front row are LCC assistants Willie Weber and Dennis Siegmann, Garrett Jones, Governor Sam Brownback, LCC head coach Joe Renfro, Ray Hall and Jeromy Davenport. Pictured on the back row are Zach Anderson, Devin Aguirre, John Hambleton, Ethan Orr, Eric Hughes, Representative Richard Proehl, Senator Dwayne Umbarger, Jordan Basks and Trey Page.
