Regional softball: Vikings will meet Iola, Grizzlies draw Mulvane
The Parsons High School softball team will take on Iola at 3 p.m. on Monday in a play-in game of the Chanute Class 4A Softball Regional.
The Lady Vikings (3-13) are seeded ninth and the Fillies (4-11) are seeded eighth.
The winner of the play-in game gets a first round date with number-one seed Frontenac (17-1).
Next, Labette County’s softball team will be the sixth-seed at the Independence Class 4A Regional.

The offense was hard to come by for the Parsons High School varsity girls softball team on Tuesday.
The Lady Vikings scored just one run in two games against Independence. The lack of offense resulted in two league losses.
Independence won game one 6-1 and the visitors took game two 13-0.

ALTAMONT — The Labette County Grizzlies settled for a split with Pittsburg on Tuesday in SEK League baseball action at Vic George Field.

CHANUTE — The Parsons High School boys golf team competed at the Chanute Invitational on Monday at Quarry Stone Golf Course.
Bryan Walker of Parsons finished 19th overall with an 88. Joey Sanders took 23rd with his 90.

The Parsons vs. Labette County varsity baseball and softball games scheduled for Monday were postponed due to wet playing conditions in Altamont.
The games will now be made up on Wednesday beginning at 3 p.m. at LCHS.

The St. Paul High School baseball team is now 10-2 on the season after sweeping a doubleheader from Uniontown on Tuesday.

Emilee Vance is the Most Valuable Player in the Jayhawk East.
A Labette Community College sophomore third baseman, Vance leads a group of seven Lady Cardinals who have earned Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference softball honors.
