YATES CENTER — Oswego High School had athletes qualify for state at the Class 2A Yates Center Regional. David Kirkpatrick finished third in the both the 100 (11.20) and 200 (23.33) to advance in both events. Ethan Jacobs qualified in the boys discus by taking third place. TOPEKA — The Kansas Class 5-4-3-2-1A State Swimming and Diving Championships were held Friday and Saturday in Topeka. Three athletes from Parsons High School and two from St. Paul High School competed alongside the state’s best. The Oswego High School softball team will have to face the number-one seed right away at the Class 2-1A State Softball Tournament. The Indians are seeded eighth with a record of 8-10. Chanute wins SEK League's all-sports award
Chanute is the winner of the 2012-13 Martin Rohde Southeast Kansas League All-Sports Award. This is the second time that Chanute has won the award.
