The Parsons High School girls swim team began the season with a meet at Coffeyville on Monday. There were four teams in attendance. Shannon Dunlay took first place in the 200-yard free with a time of 2:21.12. A junior, Dunlay also placed fourth in the 50-yard free (29.04). Both of those are state-consideration times. The Parsons Kids Wrestling Club will be represented at the 2013 Kansas Kids State Wrestling Championships this weekend in Topeka. The team competed at the District 1 Wrestling Championships last weekend in Holton.
