PWC brings back 3 state champs from Sunflower games
Four Parsons Wrestling Club grapplers traveled to Topeka to wrestle in the Sunflower State Games this weekend.
Quinten Heady took first in the Takedown Tournament and second in the Folkstyle Tourney.
His record for the day was 6-1 with four of those wins coming by pinfall.
In Takedown, Heady defeated Xavier Ferrell of JCWC 10-0 before ousting Samuel Imes of Turner Wrestling by pinfall in round two.

Parsons 13-15s upend Oswego
The Parsons Babe Ruth 13-15 year old All-Star team defeated Oswego 12-2 Wednesday evening to advance to the next round of district play in the District 5 tourney, which is being hosted by Altamont.
Parsons took a 2-0 lead before Oswego pulled within 2-1 after two frames.
But Parsons again scored twice in the third and added another in the fourth to move in front 5-2.

Parsons 11s advance to state
The Parsons 11-year-old All-Stars defeated Tri-Valley 16-0 in three innings via the mercy rule Tuesday to advance to the Cal Ripken League 11-year-old state tourney as District 5 champs.
Parsons got five runs in the first thanks to back-to-back triples from Joel Schibi and Luke Wolgamont.

Over the next two weekends, Parsons and Altamont will host Cal Ripken League state tournaments that will decide who represents the state of Kansas in the Midwest Plains regional at the end of July.

The Kiwanis Rangers defeated the Ray Products Rockies Monday evening in Parsons Babe Ruth League action in Winway Park.
The Rangers earned a 10-1 win in a game that was scoreless through three and a half.

The Parsons Babe Ruth League 16-18 year old team improved to 16-2 on the season with a two-game sweep over Coffeyville Tuesday evening.
Parsons opened the night with a 12-6 win over Coffeyville behind nine strikeouts from pitcher Keaton Nolting.

COLUMBUS — The Parsons Senior Babe Ruth team of 16-18-year-olds will begin district play on Tuesday in Columbus, which is hosting the district tourney.

The Parsons Power Flame 13-year-old Babe Ruth League team took a pair of games from Fort Scott in Fort Scott Friday evening.

The Parsons Power Flame 13-year-old Babe Ruth Baseball team took on Frontenac in Frontenac on Thursday, June 14 and came away with a 12-8 win in seven innings.

The Erie Heat took on the Parsons Mariners Monday evening at Sonny Johnson Field in Winway Park, with Erie falling 8-4 after taking a 4-2 lead early on.
