KANSAS CITY — With contributions from everyone up and down the lineup, the Labette Community College softball team swept a doubleheader from Kansas City, Kansas on Tuesday. FRONTENAC — Undefeated Frontenac swept a baseball doubleheader from the Parsons Vikings on Monday, winning game one 8-1, and game two 10-2. The Erie High School varsity golf team competed at Oswego on Monday. Erie edged out Jayhawk-Linn by one stroke to take second place. Hunter Mildfelt took fifth place and Zach McCoy finished 10th. Mildfelt shot an 83, and McCoy had an 89. Cleaver signs with Allen County
Erie High School senior Kailey Cleaver signs a letter of intent on Monday to play basketball at Allen County Community College. Seated with Kailey are her parents Russ and Jill Cleaver. Standing in back is Erie Coach Brianna Volmer. An all-conference performer, Cleaver averaged 10 points and five rebounds per game and had a team-high 54 steals for the Red Devils. A western Kansas road trip went extremely well for the Labette Community College softball team. The Lady Cardinals won all four games of the stretch. LCC defeated Dodge City 8-0 and 6-5 on Friday.
