YATES CENTER — Two dominating wins secured a regional title for the St. Paul Indians.
Earning run-rule victories in both the semifinals and the title game, the Indians won the Yates Center Class 2-1A Baseball Regional at Kluender Field on Wednesday.

The Oswego High School boys golf team took second place at the Uniontown Class 2A Regional on Monday.

Regional softball: Oswego tops Chetopa for regional title
OSWEGO — The Oswego High School softball team is going to state.
The host Lady Indians defeated Chetopa 1-0 in the title game of the Oswego Class 2-1A Regional on Monday.
For Oswego, Aimee Wimp had three singles, while Tiffany Wimp had two singles and drove in the only run of the game. Sydney Pemberton had a double, and Tyler Garris added a single for the Indians (7-10).

CHANUTE — Number-one seed Frontenac defeated ninth-seeded Parsons 15-0 in a first round game of the Chanute Class 4A Softball Regional on Monday.

Payton Hays ended his prep tennis career with a win — and with another state medal.
A Parsons High School senior, Hays won the seventh place match at the 2013 Class 4A State Tennis Tournament on Saturday at Wichita Collegiate High School.
And for the third-straight year, Hays brought back some hardware from the state tourney.

FRONTENAC — Early miscues in the field doomed the Parsons Vikings on the opening day of the Labette County Class 4A Baseball Regional.
