Chargers come back
EUREKA — The Cherryvale Chargers were down 14-7 going into the fourth quarter here Friday night when three touchdowns gave the Chargers a 29-22 road victory. Zach Trim started the offensive spurt with a 7-yard touchdown run. Drew Housel added two more TDs on lengthy runs, one for 77 yards. ST. PAUL — St. Paul High School routed Pleasanton here Friday night 48-0. The game ended before the fourth quarter was over because of the mercy rule. St. Paul senior quarterback Anthony Diskin scored five of the Indians’ touchdowns in the victory. He collected 128 yards on 10 carries Friday night. Fuentez wins third-straight city golf title
Tony Fuentez won his third-straight City Golf Championship on Sunday by shooting a two under par 70 at the Katy Golf Club. Mark Ludwig finished second. Ludwig fired a one over 71 on Saturday at Parsons Golf and Fitness and held a six stroke lead over Fuentez going into Sunday. However, a front nine six over saw his lead vanish. 1.
