MOUND VALLEY — Lucille Heath, 86, of Mound Valley died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at the Life Care Center in Wichita.
She was born Feb. 28, 1925, in rural Mound Valley to Benjamin and Marie (Bitsco) Tallman. She grew up and attended school in the Dennis area and was a graduate of Dennis High School.
As a young woman, she moved to California, where she lived most of her adult life. While living in California, she worked as a bank teller. Following retirement, she returned to Mound Valley, where she had lived since.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mound Valley. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, cooking shows and spending time with her neighbors and friends.
Survivors include a nephew, Ken Moldenhauer and his wife, Marcine, of Valley Center; a great-niece, MacKenzie Moldenhauer; and cousins, Mary Metcalf and her son, Gale, of Seattle.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Moldenhauer; and a brother-in-law, Frank Moldenhauer.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Dennis. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
