CHANUTE — Dana Jolene Gwillim, 49, of Chanute died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.

She was born in Chanute on Aug. 1, 1961, the daughter of Jimmy Joe and Linda (Ringle) Pierce. She graduated from Labette County High School and Labette Community College.

She married Mark Gwillim on Feb. 12, 1992, at St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. He survives of the home.

Dana was a homemaker.

Other survivors include two sons, Josh Gwillim of Oklahoma City and Tyler Gwillim of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Alexandra Gwillim of Chanute; her parents, Jimmy Joe Pierce and Linda Hedrick; and four sisters, Gina, Lori, Tina and Deborah.

A graveside service was Monday at Harmony Grove Cemetery near Dennis. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Chanute.

Memorials in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be left with the funeral home.

Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel in Chanute is in charge of arrangements.
