ST. PAUL — Chuck Carter, 65, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, died on Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, in Maple Ridge, British Columbia.
He was born March 20, 1945, in Labette County to Glenn and Frances (Kelly) Carter. He grew up in St. Paul, living most of his life in Kansas.
Mr. Carter served in the Navy in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Bee Carter; two sons, Eric Carter and Scott Carter; two daughters, Christi and Kelli Carter; 12 grandchildren; and siblings, Jane Carter Wall, Merni Carter, Pat Carter Land, Kelly Carter and Terry Carter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Frances Carter; and a sister, Glenda Dunn.
A memorial service was Jan. 15 in Maple Ridge, British Columbia.
Burial will be at noon Sunday at St. Francis Cemetery at St. Paul, with military honors.
Garden Hill Funeral Chapel of Vancouver, British Columbia, was in charge of arrangements.
