She was born on Aug. 25, 1957, to Earnest and Dorothy (Merick) Fowler of Mound Valley.
Her favorite pastimes included fishing and camping and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved the great outdoors.
Survivors include two daughters, Christy Gavin of Chanute and Mindy Ray of Iola; a son, Christian Hildebrand of Hoxie; four grandchildren, Tiffani Wimp, Tyler Butler, Brett Brown and Trenton Ray; two brothers, Larry Fowler of Nebraska and Paul Fowler of Westmoreland; five sisters, Barbara Mauk of Colorado, Cora Winters of Edna, Judy Hale of Mound Valley, Susan Delk of Tulsa and Kathy Hale of Winfield; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an older sister, Norma Jean; and a granddaughter, Paige.
The body has been cremated. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
