He was born on Feb. 11, 1955, at Parsons to Bob L. and Marilyn J. (Trammell) Divine. He grew up at Parsons and attended Parsons schools, graduating from Parsons High School in 1973.
Mike worked briefly at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant before working as a carpenter and painting contractor. He lived and worked in Parsons for most of his life with the exception of the brief time he worked in the Denver area.
He enjoyed fishing, watching golf, the Kansas City Chiefs and social networking on Facebook with his friends. He attended Parsons Foursquare Church.
Survivors include his parents, Bob and Marilyn Divine of Parsons; two brothers, Terry Divine, and his wife, Rhonda, of Overland Park and Darin Divine, and his wife, D’Aun, of Kyle, Texas; a sister, Kelley Stover, and her husband, Troy, of Wichita; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and seven aunts and uncles.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
