He was born on June 24, 1928, at Billings, Mo., to Lela and Oren W. Justice Sr. He was raised at Billings until his family moved to Oswego when he was 12.
After graduating from Oswego High School, he worked a short time before being drafted into the U.S. Army. He served two tours of duty in Korea and Vietnam. He was later an instructor at West Point Academy for two years. He retired from the Army and moved to Lufkin in 1991.
On Nov. 6, 1949, he married Doris Lavonne Rude at Labette City. She survives of the home.
Mr. Justice was Baptist. He was a wood craftsman and loved to be with his grandchildren. He was a devoted Christian and veteran.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronny and Brenda Justice of Lufkin, Texas; a grandson and his wife, Chris and Sara Justice of San Diego; a granddaughter and her husband, Dawn and Michael Andrews of Cameron, Texas; two great-granddaughters, Hailey Justice of San Diego and Ally Andrews of Cameron, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oswego Cemetery, with military honors given by the Fort Riley Funeral Detail. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons, which is in charge of local arrangements.
