OMAHA, Neb. — Gavino “Robert” Valverde Sr., 75, of Omaha, Neb., died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Omaha.

Mr. Valverde worked for over 30 years as a maintenance worker at a high school in Omaha.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Vosler and Pam Goodell, both of Omaha, Neb.; two sons, Robert Valverde Jr. and Ron Valverde, both of Parsons; a stepdaughter, Taye Conkle of Missouri; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alex Valverde and Emilio Valverde, both of Omaha; and a sister, Theresa Pautler of Independence.

The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Cemetery in Parsons with military honors given by Brown-Bishop Post No. 704 Veterans of Foreign Wars in Parsons. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, where friends may call after 3 p.m.
