She was born on Feb. 19, 1943, to Edgar and Marie (Patton) Marlow at West Seneca, Okla.
Janet graduated from Wyandotte (Okla.) High School, received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Pittsburg State University and a Ph.D. from Kansas State University. She retired as dean of student services at Labette Community College in Parsons in January 2001.
She married Ronnie DeWayne Eads of Commerce, Okla., on Nov. 10, 1962, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Miami, Okla. He survives of the home in Parsons.
Other survivors include a son, George Russell Eads of Commerce, Okla.; a granddaughter, Gabrielle Eads of Erie; her parents, Edgar and Marie Marlow of Wyandotte, Okla.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Joan Marlow, Larry and Janice Marlow and Pat and Darnell Marlow, all of Wyandotte, Okla.; six nephews and a niece; and two great-nieces and a great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother.
The family had a private graveside service on Friday at Wyandotte Cemetery in Wyandotte.
