TULSA — Evva Lorene Benton, 92, of Tulsa passed away Friday, June 17, 2011.
She was born on July 10, 1918, in Pittsburg to Anna Maria and Charles Earl Perkins.
Her husband of 50 years, Robert, preceded her in death in 1996.
She was member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed quilting with members of the “Piecemakers.” She has resided at Oklahoma Methodist Manor during the last three and a half years.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Donna Buchynsky of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan Graves and her husband, Lewis, both of Tulsa; a brother, Raymond Perkins of Tulsa; as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Ninde Brookside Chapel with the Rev. Steve Brant officiating assisted by Rev. Sharon Fletcher-Taylor.
