WALNUT — Pat Jacquinot, 65, of Walnut died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011, in the emergency room of Girard Medical Center.

He was born on Oct. 23, 1945, in Parsons to Leonard and Sue (Smith) Jacquinot. He attended school in Walnut, graduating from St. Patrick High School. After graduation, he attended and graduated from bricklayer school in Kansas City.

In Warrensburg, Mo., on May 28, 1966, he married Carol Stark of Eldon, Mo. They made their home in Walnut. Carol survives of the home.

Pat was a bricklayer and farmer. He also enjoyed playing pitch, shooting pool and checking on his cattle.

Pat was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Walnut, the Knights of Columbus, Walnut Ruritan and the bricklayers union.

Other survivors include two sons, John Jacquinot and Nick Jacquinot and his wife, Paula, all of Walnut; two brothers, Bernard and his wife, Betsy, of Overland Park and Ken and his wife, Marilyn, of Parsons; a sister, Marilyn Colegrove and her husband, Merlin, of Walnut; and two grandchildren, Preston and Patrick.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bill; and two infant brothers.

The parish rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Walnut. The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Thomas Leland officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Walnut. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday at Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, Girard.
