SHOREVIEW, Minn. — Shirley Aiken, 72, of Shoreview, Minn., died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at the home of her daughter in Lino Lakes, Minn., following a brief illness.

Survivors include a daughter, Sheri Fairbanks of Lino Lakes, Minn.; two grandchildren; a brother, John Simmons of rural Parsons; and three sisters, Lucille Janssen of rural Parsons, Lillian Roosevelt of Sedan and Nancy Dague of Galesburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Aiken; and a brother, Earl Simmons, on Aug. 29.

A memorial service will be at a future date.
