COFFEYVILLE — Shirley Jean Wishall, 70, of Coffeyville died on Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

She was born on July 26, 1941, at Chautauqua to Clarence and Treva (Clayton) Huckstep. She grew up and attended school in Elgin and graduated from Peru High School in Peru in 1961. After graduating from high school, she moved to Coffeyville and worked at George’s Cafeteria, where she met her husband.

On June 7, 1969, she married James Wishall at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. Following their marriage, they made their home in Coffeyville.

Shirley was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. She loved to garden, paint and read, and especially loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Survivors include her husband, James Wishall, of the home; three daughters, Teresa Jarman of Tulsa, Elizabeth “Lisa” Wagner and her husband, Mike, of Edan and Joyce Jones and her husband, Jason, of Coffeyville; two sons, Daniel Wishall and his wife, Amber, of Nowata, Okla., and Thomas Wishall and his wife, Misty, of Bartlesville, Okla.; 10 grandchildren, Christopher Wagner, Logan Jarman, Dillon Jarman, Jayden Wagner, Christian Jarman, Jon Jones, Nicholas Wagner, William Wishall, Gavin Wishall and Irie Wishall; three stepgrandchildren, Jaymes “Tyler” Jarman, Jason Jones Jr. and Jake Jones; a stepgreat-grandson, Jason Jones III; and three sisters, Marcella Wood of Tulsa, Catherine Small of Independence, Mo., and Eleanor Huckstep of Sedan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Wilma Wilson; and a brother, Clarence Huckstep Jr.

The Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville with the Rev. Ben Nguyen officiating. Burial will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery at Liberty. There will be a rosary vigil service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
