McCUNE — Ronal Harry “Ron” Tridle, 74, of McCune died at 4:43 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at his home. He had been in failing health the past year.

He was born on Feb. 15, 1937, to Harry David and Naomi Ruth (Grandle) Tridle in McCune. He grew up and attended school in McCune and was a 1954 graduate of McCune High School.

On June 8, 1963, he married Sharon Prichard in Scammon. The couple celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary this year. Following marriage, they lived in Topeka for a short time before returning to McCune, where they have lived since.

He served in the Army Reserves from 1958 to 1962 while working for Frito Construction and Kansas Mobile Homes. In 1966, he began his 23-year career as a machinist for the M-K-T Railroad in Parsons. In 1989, he was employed by the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center, where he worked until retiring in 1999.

He enjoyed rebuilding old cars, woodworking, gardening and watching his children and grandchildren play sports.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Tridle of the home; a daughter, Ronda Dugone of Dunkirk, Md.; a son, Mike Tridle of Frontenac; seven grandchildren, Tony, Alyssa and Alex Dugone and Rhyan, Rheid, Regan and Rhylee Tridle; a brother, Larry Tridle and his wife, Pat, of Shawnee; a sister, Harriett Ginn and her husband, Leon, of Edmond, Okla.; five nieces and nephews, Stephanie Smith and Scott Smith and Chris, Kevin and Greg Tridle; a mother-in-law, Angeline Prichard of Frontenac; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and LaVietta Prichard of Joplin and Rosemary and Jim Pender and Connie Allen, all of McCune; and nieces and nephews, Brian Prichard, Lori Booth, Jenifer Yuza, Rob Pender, Erin Lindal and Jason, Jesse and Justin Allen; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Tridle in 1991 and Naomi Tridle in 2009.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons with private interment at a later date. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
