BURLINGTON — Alice Marie Rehmert, 83, of Burlington, died on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at the Life Care Center of Burlington, where she had been a resident since 2008.

She was born June 15, 1928, in St. Paul to William A. and Grace C. (Richardson) Madl.

She married Nolan Rehmert on June 5, 1946, in Oswego. He died on Nov. 21, 1998.

Mrs. Rehmert had worked as a seamstress for a garment factory and then later out of her home.

Survivors include son, William J. Rehmert of Parsons; a daughter, Roxie K. Stewart and her husband, Virgil, of Burlington; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ray Madl and his wife, Regina, and John Madl, all of Parsons; three sisters, Gladys Caywood and her husband, Harold, Wilma Wastler, all of Parsons, and Maxine Cooper of Little Rock, Ark.; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Raymond D. Rehmert; a sister, Darlene Alloway; and three brothers, Norman, Bob and Donald Madl.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at East Hill Cemetery at Erie.
