KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Dawn Renee Massey, 42, of Kansas City, Mo., died unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, while visiting her uncle, Joe Unruh, in Parsons. She had struggled with health issues for many years.

She was born Jan. 4, 1969, in Kansas City, Kan., and attended Kansas City, Mo., schools, graduating from North Kansas City High School. She worked for the city of Kansas City, Mo., in many positions, including animal control and in the water department.

Survivors include her parents, Stella (Unruh) and Leon Williams.

The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Linwood United Church in Kansas City, Mo. She has been cremated.
