Luther L. “Butch” Gamblian, 72, a lifelong Parsons resident, died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, at his home. He had been in failing health for several years.

He was born on March 22, 1939, in Parsons to Charles A. and Bessie M. (Keeling) Gamblian Sr.

On June 23, 1958, he married Diana “Donna” Mulligan in Miami, Okla. She survives of the home.

Butch worked for Parsons Cold Storage for 14 years, for Individual Mausoleum Co. for 18 years and at Power Flame for 18 years, retiring in 1997 because of health problems. He enjoyed his family, playing bingo and going to casinos.

Other survivors include two sons, Luther “Butchie” Gamblian Jr and his wife, Jody, of Parsons and Michael Gamblian and his wife, Zella, of Parsons; a daughter; Dorinda Gobin and her husband, Darrel, of Parsons; six grandchildren, Jennifer Gamblian, Jessica Gamblian, Aaron Gamblian and his wife, Kayla, Andrew Jones, Shaila Gamblian and Christopher Gobin; and two great-grandchildren, Summer Gamblian and Justus Gamblian.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Springhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Carson-Wall Funeral Home.
