Nina L. Ryel, 87, died Saturday evening, Dec. 10, 2011, at Parsons Presbyterian Manor.
She was born Dec. 6, 1924, at Cherryvale the daughter of Leo Hersh and Letha (McCormick) Hersh. She attended Dennis schools. She worked at various jobs throughout her lifetime, including Birdview Satellite Co. for 12 years and Automotive Controls Corp. for eight years.
She was a member of Mount Zion Church.
In February 1949 at Wells, Nev., she married George Jones. Mr. Jones preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1966.
In 1978 at Cherryvale she married Joseph McMains. Mr. McMains died on Oct. 25, 1982.
In 1988, she married Francis Ryel; the couple later divorced.
Surviving are four sons, Wesley Jones of McCune, David Jones, Michael Jones, both of Parsons, and Charles Jones of Syracuse, Mo.; two daughters, Peggy Burlingame of Falls City, Neb., and Barbara Helle of Independence; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Penwell-Gabel Webb & Rodrick Chapel in Independence with the Rev. Charles Rice, officiating. Inurnment will be at the Harmony Grove Cemetery near Dennis. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until service time on Thursday.
The family has suggested memorials to Mount Zion Church, and they may be left at the funeral home.
