GLADSTONE, Mo. — Lindsey L. King, 90, of Gladstone, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at NorthCare Hospice House.
He was born Aug. 4, 1921, in Kansas City, Mo., to Roy L. and Pearle J. (Lindsey) King. He graduated from Central High School in Kansas City in 1937. After high school Lindsey moved to Parsons, where he owned and operated a Western Auto franchise.
While in Parsons he met and married Bonnie Jean Gullett, and they were married for 48 years. In 1965 they relocated to the Gladstone area, where they raised their family. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter, Pamela King of Gladstone, Mo.; and his son, Brian King of Boca Raton, Fla.
He also was preceded in death by his sister, Ethel Gillum.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at White Chapel Funeral Home.
