Sandra was born on Nov. 27, 1943, to Sally and James Stultz. She had five siblings, Harold (Joyce) Stultz of Hillsboro, Mo., John Dickens of Pezely, Mo., Cary (Linda) Dickens of Arnold, Mo., Juanita May of Mayfield, Ky., Alice (Bob) Lee of Morsemill, Mo.
She married Warren C. Earling Sr. on Aug. 17, 1959, in Baltimore. They had four children, Mike Earling of McCune, Karen Earling of Girard, Warren Earling (Lisa) of Scammon and Susan Carson (Joe) of Altamon. They Later divorced.
Sandy then married Randel L. Baker on Nov. 1, 1970. Randel added two sons to the family, David Baker of Parsons and Steve Baker (Rose) of Conroe, Texas. Sandy and Randy had one daughter together, Debora Flanagan of Denver.
Sandy attended Labette Community College and earned her RN degree in 1981. She gained employment at Labette County Medical Center (now Labette Health) in the ER and ICU units, later transferring to St. John’s Medical Center in Joplin. There she worked in CV ICU and Hawthorne Center. Sandy was a very passionate and caring nurse. Health issues forced Sandy to retire from St. John’s.
Sandy enjoyed bowling, fishing, gambling, playing bingo, crocheting and reading.
In 1998, Sandy’s husband of 28 years passed. Since 2005, Sandy has resided at 223 Pennsylvania in Oswego with Troy Reynolds, sharing their lives together with her and his family. Their family includes his children, Melinda (Wayne) Lawrence of Hallowell and Jim Reynolds (Paula) of Bartlett, his nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and Sandy's eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, Randel Baker; and a grandson, Brian Baker.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Oswego Cemetery. Pastor Eldon Walker will officiate. Family will receive friends from 9 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at Derfelt Funeral Home of Oswego.
