ST. LOUIS — Margaret “Peggy” (Lavin) Neth, 80, formerly of Springfield, Mo., died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at McKnight Place, St. Louis, where she had been a resident for the past six years.

She was a teacher at Springfield’s Rountree Elementary for 24 years.

Survivors include a son, Tom Neth and his wife, Joyce, of Rockford, Ill.; two daughters, Lee Ann Ring and her husband, Craig, of St. Louis, and their children, Zach and Kelsey, and Kathy Curry and her husband, Mike, of Rogersville, Mo., and her children, Nathan, Natalie and Neena; and two brothers, Tom Lavin of Overland Park and Michael Lavin and his wife, Carol Sue, of Olathe.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Neth; and her parents, Thomas and Margaret Lavin.

The funeral Mass will be at noon Monday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Springfield, Mo., followed by burial at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, Springfield, Mo., with a rosary at 4:30 p.m.
