McCUNE — Helen E. Smith Flaharty, 91, of rural McCune died at 5:15 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Via Christi Village in Pittsburg. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Max A. Smith, on Sept. 10, 1978. Her second husband, Paul C. Flaharty, died on March 12, 2008.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at McCune United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Fort Scott National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
