ALTAMONT — Grant V. Easton, 50, of Altamont died early Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at his home. His death was unexpected.

He was born on Dec. 9, 1961, at Scottsbluff, Neb., to James and Shirley (Winkle) Easton. He grew up and attended schools in Lincoln, Neb.

Throughout most of his adult life, he worked as a truck driver.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Shirley and John Allen of Lymon, Neb.; two brothers, Keith Easton of Morrill, Neb., and Rodney Easton of Claytonia, Neb.; and a sister, Kelly Halvorsen of Eagle, Neb.

Following cremation, the family will have a private memorial service. Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Altamont is in charge of arrangements.
