COFFEYVILLE — Earl Lloyd Stegmeir, 85, of rural Coffeyville died at 12:24 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at his home.

He was born on Nov. 13, 1926, near Angola to Fred and Olive (Stuart) Stegmeir. He grew up near Angola, where he attended elementary school and was a graduate of Labette County Community High School in Altamont.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.

He was a truck driver.

He married Carol Ann Maxwell on Oct. 2, 1975, in Atlanta. She survives of the home.

Also surviving him is a daughter, Lanette Stegmeir, of the home.

The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Richland Cemetery near Angola. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont.
