Thelma Wills, 93, of Parsons died at 8:37 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at Parsons Presbyterian Manor.

She was born on Dec. 19, 1918, in Parsons to Harry D. and Edna (Robison) Beggerly. She grew up in Parsons and attended Parsons schools.

On Jan. 5, 1946, she married Ray W. Wills in Carthage, Mo. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2000, after 54 years of marriage.

Thelma was employed at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant during World War II and again during the Vietnam War. She was a member of First Christian Church and had been active in the Disciples Women, Church Women United and the Alpha Reading Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Wills of the home and Pam Burnett and her husband, Bob, of Parsons; three grandchildren, Amy Burnett Sands and her husband, Scott, of Parsons, Breanna Burnett Flynn and her husband, Ryan, of Laguna Hills, Calif., and R. Douglas Burnett and his wife, Niki, of Lenexa; four great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Drake Burnett and Autumn and Austin Sands; and a sister, Darlene Scholtz of Lake Jackson, Texas.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at Carson-Wall Funeral Home at their convenience.
