She was born on May 23, 1937, at Neodesha to Lester L. and Mable (Hine) McCormack. She graduated from Neodesha High School.
She had been employed at Electra in Independence, Aerosol in Neodesha, sewing factories in Cherryvale and Parsons, Hi-Lo in Chanute and Grandview Products in Parsons. She owned and operated the B and R Upholstery Co. in Parsons and had driven a van for Union Pacific Railroad.
Barbara was first married to Roland Fosnight and later to Tom Hughes, both of whom preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Randy Williams of Thayer; three sons, Rodney Fosnight and Thomas Hughes II, both of Parsons, and Rick Fosnight of Cherryvale; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; four sisters, Ruby McCormack of Independence, Nancy Schultz of Neodesha, Carol Letcher of Cherryvale and Becky Scott of Arkansas; and a brother, Leon McCormack of Stillwater, Okla.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husbands and a daughter, Rhonda Rowden.
Carson-Wall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no public service.
