He was born on June 10, 1948, in Chetopa to Howard Blundell Sr. and Goldie Maxine (Baker) Blundell. He was a 1967 graduate of Chetopa High School and earned an associate’s degree from Labette Community College.
During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Army.
He worked at Plumb and Square Construction.
He married Vicki Graham in 1971. They later divorced.
Survivors include a son, Eric Blundell of Oswego; a daughter, Sabrina Johnson of Columbus; six grandchildren; and three brothers, Gary Blundell of Oswego, James Blundell of Chetopa and Christopher Blundell of Wichita.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lindsay Blundell; and a grandson, Mark Carter III.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oswego Christian Church. Burial will be in Fort Scott National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, Chetopa, is in charge of arrangements.
