McCUNE — Stanley W. “Stan” Dillinger, 60, of McCune died at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.

He was born June 4, 1952, in Parsons to Wayne and Eilene (Allen) Dillinger. He attended West Mineral Elementary School and was a 1970 graduate of Southeast High School.

Through the years, he had worked at Brown Oil and Tire, Montgomery Ward and the Katy Railroad. For the past 22 years he had been employed by Taylor Products in Parsons where he worked as a metal fabricator.

He enjoyed model railroading and motorcycles and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Katy Railroad Historical Society.

He married Connie Preston on June 18, 1977, at the Friendship Church in Hallowell. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Mindy Hernandez and her husband, Chris, of Shawnee, Amanda Ball and her husband, Jason, and Ashley Dillinger and Ray Edwards, all of McCune; seven grandchildren; his parents, Wayne and Eilene Dillinger of Scammon; and a sister, Judy Hastings of Parsons.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at McCune Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
