He was born on March 31, 1955, at Coffeyville to Howard Verl and Ruth Elzada (McCorkle) Banzet. He grew up and attended school in Labette County and graduated from Labette County High School.
Throughout his life, Tony worked as a mechanic, handyman and ranch hand. He was a beekeeper and loved helping others in the Edna community.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Edna and was a member of Borderline Productions, a historical reenactment group, for several years.
Survivors include several cousins and many friends.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Edna with the Rev. Charles Evans officiating. Burial will be in Lake Creek Cemetery west of Bartlett. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
