BEDFORD, Texas — Norma L. Gragg, 87, of Bedford, Texas, formerly of Cherryvale, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Grapevine, Texas.

She was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Pershing, Okla., the daughter of Cecil Page and Edna Emma Wilhelmina (Nickoley) Fish. She was a native of Mound Valley and graduated from Mound Valley High School.

On Aug. 14, 1944, in Mound Valley she married Henry Gragg Jr. He preceded her in death in 1984.

She lived in Los Angeles from 1944 until 1954 and moved to Cherryvale in 1955. Along with her husband she owned and operated the Gragg Cabinet Co. in Cherryvale and was the financial executive for 30 years.

She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi, Wednesday Progress Club, PEO, Cherryvale Country Club and Cherryvale First Christian Church. Norma was an avid golfer, ballroom dancer and took flying lessons.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Gragg of Grove, Okla., and Thomas Gragg of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter, Deborah Packer of Colleyville, Texas; six grandchildren, Melissa Gragg of Shawnee Mission, Jon Ecklund of New York, N.Y., Elijah B. Gragg of Cherryvale, Nicole Brooks of Fort Drum, N.Y., Sam Packer and McKenzie Packer, both of Colleyville, Texas; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Cecil Fish of Baldwin City; and a sister, Donna Harrington of Joplin.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Wilma Karstetter; a daughter, Terry Lou Gragg; a son, Steven Henry Gragg; a granddaughter, Shannon D. Gragg; and a grandson, Joshua B. Gragg.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale. Friends may call from noon until 8 p.m. today at the Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 E. Fourth, in Cherryvale, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Association and may be left with the funeral home.
