ST. PAUL — Irene Smith, 88, a former Parsons and Erie resident, died at 3:14 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at the Prairie Mission Retirement Village in St. Paul. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. "Bill" Smith, on Jan. 2, 2003.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Faith United Methodist Church or to the Proud Animal Lovers Shelter and these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home, 112 N. 26th St., P.O. Box 942, Parsons, KS 67357.
