Josh Rhodenbaugh, 27, of Parsons died Monday evening, March 22, 2010, at his home. He had been in failing health, but his death was unexpected.

He was born Jan. 31, 1983, in Parsons to Rose Rhodenbaugh. He grew up in Parsons and attended Meadow View Grade School and Labette County High School.

He enjoyed wrestling during his school years and participated in the Altamont Wrestling Club. He also enjoyed fishing and golfing with his grandfather, Max Rhodenbaugh. He was an avid sports fan of football, basketball and professional wrestling. Above all else in life, he cherished his family the most.

Survivors include his son, Jaden of Parsons; his mother and stepfather, Rose and Dave Cochran of Parsons; his sister, Tricia Mills, and her husband, James, of Parsons; his maternal grandmother, Cherie Rhodenbaugh of Kanopolis; his maternal great-grandmother, Iris Clark of Salina; nieces and nephews, Mary, Mayson, Noah and Chance Mills, all of Parsons; and his uncles, Dan Rhodenbaugh and family and Eric Rhodenbaugh and family.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Max Rhodenbaugh; and infant brother, Brandon.

No services are scheduled at this time. Following cremation, the family will conduct a private burial on the family farm north of Salina. Memorials are suggested to an educational fund for his son and may be left at or mailed to Carson-Wall Funeral Home 112 N. 26th St., P.O. Box 942, Parsons, 67357.
