ANDERSON, Mo. — Earl William Minor Sr., 91, of Anderson, Mo., formerly of Parsons, died on Sunday morning, March 28, 2010, at his home after months of declining health.

He was born on Dec. 27, 1918, in St. Louis.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He worked at HD Lees Co. in Cherryvale.

On Dec. 5, 1945, he married Lilly Aileen (Blackburn) Minor. She preceded him in death in January 2001.

Survivors include two sons, Earl W. Minor Jr. of Bradenton, Fla., and Donald L. Buffalow of Joplin; two daughters, Janice Kay Stone of Anderson, Mo., and Pamela Sue Murphy of Frontenac; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by his parents, Ben Vernon Minor and Dorothy (Bridges) Walker.

The graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons.

Ozark Funeral Home, Anderson, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
