McCUNE — William R. “Bill” Albertson, 62, of McCune, died at 4:33 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010, in Montgomery County. He had been in his usual health and death was not expected.

He was born Sept. 15, 1947, in Parsons to Carl Raymond and Wilma Allene (Murphy) Albertson. He grew up in Parsons, where he attended schools and later earned a master’s degree from Pittsburg State University. He had worked as an accountant for the state of Missouri.

He is survived by a sister, Carla Markley of Pittsburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private graveside service will be held by the family. The Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons is in charge of arrangements.

The family suggests memorials to the William Albertson Memorial Fund, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons.
