CHETOPA — June Carolyn Brown, 73, of Chetopa died at 6:35 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2010, at Chetopa Manor.

She was born March 5, 1937, in Little Rock, Ark., to June and Casey (Prichard) Bourne. She grew up and attended schools in Little Rock, where she was a 1955 graduate of Little Rock Central High School.

She married Alfred Earl Brown Sr. on March 21, 1956, in Little Rock.

The couple owned and operated Aqua Plush Waterbeds in Coffeyville for several years.

Survivors include her husband, Alfred Earl Brown Sr. of Chetopa; three sons, Michael Earl Brown of Pittsburg, Steven Lee Brown of Altamont and Alfred Earl Brown Jr. of Collinsville, Okla.; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, Roger Bourne of Little Rock, Ark.; and a sister, Ann Strawn of Cimarron.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Church of God in Coffeyville. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa.
