INDEPENDENCE — Robert G. “Bob” Trimmell, 71, of Independence died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at his home.

He was born on Sept. 10, 1938, in Rural Fall River to Luther Anslum and Thelma P. (Ware) Trimmell. He graduated from Coyville High School in 1956.

He was a farmer and rancher.

He married Connie Trimmell on May 17, 1959, in Independence. She survives of the home.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Other survivors include a son, Todd Alan Trimmell of Parsons; three brothers, Norman Trimmell of Idaho, Thelbert Trimmell of Coyville and Leroy Trimmell of Texas; and two grandchildren.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Church of Epiphany, Independence. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Potts Chapel, Independence.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice Care of Kansas and may be left at the funeral home.
