BARTLETT — Richard Wayne Evans, 68, of Bartlett died Thursday, May 6, 2010, at his home.

He was born July 17, 1941, in Cardin, Okla., to Forrest and Juanita (Watson) Evans.

He served in the United States Army overseas during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Evans of the home; four daughters, Sonya Evans of Bartlett, Sherri Culp of Lamar, Mo., Tonya Williamson of Oswego and Tara Britton of Bartlett; 11 grandchildren; four brothers, Forrest R. “Bugsy” Evans of Elkton, Ky., William Evans of Commerce, Okla., Charles Lawson of Oswego and Kenny Akers of Joplin; and six sisters, Ann Wilson of Welch, Okla., Tresea Rhodes of Arkansas, Lynn Brown of Oswego, Tina Johnson of Welch, Okla., and Shirley Akers of Webb City, Mo.

The service was May 11 at Bartlett Christian Church. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery northwest of Treece.

Services were under the direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Commerce, Okla.
