ERIE — Ervin Burk Jr., 56, a longtime Erie resident, died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Elmhaven West nursing home after a short illness.

He was born on Oct. 19, 1953, at Tacoma, Wash. He was raised in Missouri and attended school at Springfield, Mo.

He had worked as a handyman in Parsons and Erie for many years.

Survivors include his parents, Ervin A. Burk Sr. and Clara Burk of Pueblo, Colo.; three sisters, Patricia Beach of Parsons, Joanne Pirnie of Phoenix and Esther Clark of Albuquerque, N.M.; and two brothers, Alvin K. Burk of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Christopher Burk of Pueblo, Colo.

The body will be cremated. No service is scheduled.
