INDEPENDENCE — Beverly “Kay” Shook, 65, of Independence died Friday, June 4, 2010, at her brother’s home in Wichita.

She was born on Nov. 12, 1944, in Cherryvale to William and Opal (Russell) Shook. She graduated from Cherryvale High School.

She retired from the decal department at Hackney and Sons of Independence.

Survivors include two brothers, Bill L. Shook of Wichita and Max Shook of El Paso, Texas.

The service will be at 1 p.m. today at Pott’s Chapel of Cherryvale. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Cherryvale.

Memorials are suggested to American Baptist Estates and can be left at the funeral home.
