Allen W. Richardson, 46, of Parsons died at 6:55 a.m. Sunday, June 13, 2010, at his home. Death followed a year of failing health.

He was born on Aug. 5, 1963, at Neodesha to Ron and Pat (Mitchell) Richardson. During his early years, the family lived in Independence, Altoona, Parsons and Joplin. During his adult life, he had primarily lived in Parsons.

His married Kathy Isabelle. They later divorced. In 1986, he married Donna Richards. They later divorced.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator and had been employed by Beachner Construction Co. and LaForge and Budd Construction Co.

He loved watching football and basketball and a car overhauling program. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, both serving in the U.S. Army, J. Richardson of Fort Riley and Brett Richardson and his wife, Charity, of Fort Campbell, Ky.; a daughter, Heather Poverline and her husband, Ernie, of Hastings, Neb.; seven grandchildren; his mother, Pat Jones and her husband, John, of Parsons; his father, Ron Richardson and his wife, Rhonda, of Wichita; two brothers, Wayne Richards and his wife, Young ae, of Salina and Tim Richardson and his fiance, Cara McCoy, of Las Vegas; six sisters, Kathy Aragon and her husband, Robert, Sandy Shepard and her husband, Darrell, Karen Kellogg and her companion, Randy Whittley, all of Parsons, and Tanya Leighton and her husband, Donovan, of Wichita, Lori Coussou and her husband, Rob, of Welch, Okla., and Barb Faulkner and her husband, Chris, of Bella Vista, Ark.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Altoona Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
