Tim Turley, 35, of Parsons died Monday morning, June 21, 2010, at the residence of his mother, Linda Portell. His death was unexpected.
He was born on Dec. 2, 1974, at Parsons to Richard and Linda (Myers) Turley. He grew up at Parsons and attended Parsons schools.
He worked various jobs until working at Power Flame for 11 years. He retired in 2005 following a motorcycle accident.
He was baptized at the Center Bethel Church and attended services there. He also attended the Parsons Foursquare Church.
He enjoyed weightlifting, running, mudding, hot rods and cars. Mr. Turley was a people person and enjoyed everyone’s company and making friends with them. He never met a stranger and would do anything for anyone. He loved his family and friends unconditionally.
His survivors include his daughter, Emily Turley of the home; his son, Tanner Wilse of Pittsburg; his mother, Linda Portell of Parsons; his sister, Tammy Turley of Parsons; his fiancée, Margaret Dyer, and her children, Jewel, Michael and Levi; several great-aunts and great-uncles; numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Turley; and his maternal grandparents, Vernon and Edna Myers.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
